Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
When you are unable to control the muscles in your pelvic floor, it is called pelvic floor dysfunction. If the affected muscles are not working properly it can cause secondary symptoms like incontinence, increased urgency (or frequency), retention (inability to empty the bowel/bladder), and pelvic pain. Pelvic floor physiotherapy is recommended as the first-line treatment for various pelvic floor dysfunctions to help restore the proper function of the pelvic region.
During the therapy, the group of muscles involved bowel, urinary, and sexual function will be assessed and treated. Treatments typically include hands-on approach to either reduce or eliminate symptoms, manual therapy to release tension and increase mobility at the pelvic floor, education to help you understand your condition and how to manage it effectively, and exercises to increase resilience at the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles.
Registered Massage Therapy (RMT)
Massage Therapy is a preventative and rehabilitative health care modality. It is preventative in that it addresses emerging pain patterns before they become chronic, and rehabilitative in that it can accelerate recovery from injury or surgical intervention. Massage is ideal for stress reduction, headaches, low back and shoulder pain, fatigue, and muscle strain as well as athletic related injuries such as knee, hamstring, and ankle strain.
Our Massage Therapists are regulated health professionals governed by College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
Hot Stone Massage, Prenatal Massage, Sports Massage and Cupping Therapy are also available by select RMTs.
Direct billing for Registered Massage Therapy is available on most major plans. Please check with your benefits provider to confirm the details of your individual plan.
Acupuncture (TCM)
Acupuncture has been part of healthcare for millions of people over thousands of years and is a safe and effective therapy for many ailments.
It consists of placing ultra-thin needles on various points on the body to help re-direct the flow of blood and Qi (energy). Pain and disease occur in areas where blood and energy get blocked and stagnate. When acupuncture points are stimulated, it helps to unblock these areas to resolve pain, prevent disease, improve immune function, and restore the overall balance of the body.
Our Acupuncturists are regulated health professionals governed by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Providers and Acupuncturists of Ontario. Their treatment includes:
• TCM Acupuncture
• Moxibustion
• Fire Cupping

Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of disease. Symptoms of disease are seen as warning signals of improper functioning of the body, and unfavourable lifestyle habits. Naturopathic Medicine emphasizes disease as a process rather than as an entity.

Prenatal Massage Therapy (RMT)
A prenatal massage differs from a regular massage in the sense that different techniques are used. These techniques are specific to the many anatomical changes a woman undergoes during pregnancy and will in no way cause harm to the mother or the baby. Studies have proven that massage therapy during pregnancy can help lower anxiety, reduce symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains and even enhance labour outcomes and the health of your newborn.
We recommend you consult with your Medical Doctor, OBGYN or Mid-Wife prior to receiving your first prenatal massage treatment.
Hot Stone Massage Therapy (RMT)
Hot stone massage therapy helps melt away tension, ease muscle stiffness, and increase circulation and metabolism. Hot stones combined with massage help to expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body.
